Every project begins with building a shared understanding of what you are looking for, how it will be used and where, and what options I can offer you in how it is crafted. These are conversations that can happen over coffee, on email or Zoom, or on the phone.

Based on our commissioning conversations and when you ask me to, I will design the project in all its details: artistic style, wood selection, joinery, grain positioning, edge profiles, finishes, hardware, and so on. We will refine the ideas until the project is primed to begin, ensuring you have signed-off on the final plans.

Due to the many hours involved in this development phase, this is where our shared investment in the project begins. I ask for a nonrefundable $250 deposit for this phase. When the project moves into the actual creation process, your deposit will be applied to the final total. This is also when I can tell you when you can expect it to be ready.

Once the design has been approved, it begins! The dogs join me in the truck and we go and get your wood. Later, they take over the shop floor as the process of building the project truly gets underway.

During building, I will take pictures of the process so you can see how your project comes together in the end. When it is completed, we will arrange for the delivery for you.

Your investment at this stage is 50% at the onset, and 50% upon delivery. During the project creation, if you decide to change or add anything, we will adjust the investment and that will be reflected in the final invoice.
